How to point the mail server for my domain to a different one. (or) How to change or edit the MX Entry
MX Entry is used to point the mail server of the domain name. A domain can have its web server(hosting space) and mail server as different servers. This can be done by change the MX Entry to point to a different domain.
Step 1: Login to your cPanel account.
Step 2: Click the word Mail on your cPanel interface.
Step 3: Click on Modify Mail Exchanger (MX Entry). There you can see the current MX entries listed.
Step 4: Now click on Change an MX Entry to modify the entries.
Step 5: From the Drop down menu, select the domain you wish to change the entry.
Step 6: Enter the new destination in the blank field and then click change.
